              - Running ReadCIS Unattended with Run3Cis Macro -

Run3Cis.mco is a macro to launch Readcis in autoexec mode, which is unattended
operation.

RUN3CIS REQUIRES:

        1. Macsys Macro program
        2. You must be using the default Readcis.cfg file. (Which is what
Readcis creates as it's default file.)

INSTALLING RUN3CIS:

Copy the run3cis.mco file into your \Macro\Mco directory.

For completely unattended operation, you'll need Pelican's Server, which can
run a macro at a predetermined time. The Server is available on Compuserve,
AOL, Cix, or our Web site. (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Pelican)
as Server.zip. It also comes with Notepad.

USING THE SERVER, set an alarm, and ...

1. In the new alarm dialog, choose "Yes" for "Link to Macro".
2. Set the time and date you want ReadCIS launched.
3. Make the sound "Silent" if you don't want an alarm when the macro is run.
4. Press Enter to save the alarm.
5. Server will ask you for the name of the macro to run.
6. Choose "run3cis"

READCIS AUTOEXEC.ON/AUTOEXEC.TMP SWITCHES -

The macro looks for these switches, and if not found, they are created on
Internal. It only makes sense to assume that if you're running the macro, you
must wan't autoexec mode, or you'de just start it through Readcis. Right?

Run3Cis just launches Readcis, setting the switches needed for unattended
operation. Note that Readcis must not be running for this macro to work, since
Readcis doesn't allow multiple copies to be running. Currently there is no
way to just jump to Readcis if it's already running. We may be able to do this
in future versions. Once again, Readcis must NOT be running. Readcis will
delete the autoexec.tmp switch on exiting the script.

NOTES ON READCIS AUTOEXEC MODE:

A) ThreeCIS does not display a warning if the Mail!.cis file is already in the
   Mail In Basket;

B) ThreeCIS does not display the Binary Mail Query, nor attempt to send binary
   mail

C) ThreeCIS does not display the Retrieve Forum Library Files Query, not does
it attempt to retrieve such files.
