ToDo Manager v2.3

What is it?

ToDo Manager is a macro to enable dated todos to be written quickly to the ToDo list function of Agenda.

I wrote this macro because I make a lot of notes of things todo & I didn't like having to go to Agenda, then going to the ToDo list just to write a quick note & then having to go back to the application I was using. This macro enables you to write your ToDo from wherever you are in the Psion & remain in the same place after the todo is written.
NOTE: for users of a German machine there is now an option to select the Psion type.

Installation

The Zip file contains 2 files.
Todo.mco is the macro & Agenda.hlp is the on-line help file.
To run this macro you must have the Macro application by Tom Dolbilin running. Copy the appropriate .mco to your \macro\mco directory, on any drive, & install the macro, in the normal way, assigning it a HotKey.
If you want on line help create a macro\mco\agenda\ directory on your M drive & copy the agenda.hlp file to this directory.
(Note; this help file is the same as the Diary Manager help file & therefore only needs to be installed once.)
When you first use the Macro you will be asked to select
1. the default Agenda file where the ToDo entries will be written
2. the date format you are using.
3. the view that you wish to leave Agenda in. (only applies if Agenda left running)
4. the Default Priority for your ToDos
5. Whether the entries should be dated or undated.
6. The Prompt on Entry key you are using i.e.. "Enter" or "Psion Enter". (this must be the same as set in the General Preferences settings for Agenda)
7. Title Bar Display i.e. Black, Grey, Clear.
8. Whether you wish to see the macro operation or keep it hidden.
9. Whether the Psion is English or German.
NOTE: selection of the wrong type will result in the macro malfunctioning with
                unpredictable results.
These will be stored in a todo**.cfg file on the M drive in the \macro\mco\agenda\ directory.

Running Instructions

Whenever you want to write a ToDo use the HotKey, enter the ToDo & the date & press Enter. The macro will write the ToDo in your Agenda & return you to where you were.
Using ESC at the entry screen will display a menu with a number of options.

1.	Set Preferences: If you wish to change any of the preferences select "Set Preferences" & enter new preferences. The previously entered preferences will be shown as the default settings. The new preferences will operate from the next ToDo entry.
2.	Write ToDo: this will return you to the Entry Screen.
3.	Bring ToDo: If you want to bring text from another application that supports the "bring" function mark the text to bring in that function & run the macro. Select "Bring ToDo" & Enter. The macro will return you to the Entry screen & the selected text will then be displayed in the "Enter ToDo" line.
4.	Toggle........ This allows a temporary change of the dated/undated setting held in the preferences. When the macro is run again it will revert to the preference setting.
5.	About: this option gives information about the macro & also help.
6.	Exit: Exit without writing a ToDo.

The date selection works in the normal way & TAB will access the calendar.

NOTE:
ToDos will be written to the first ToDo list in your Agenda application.
The maximum length of a ToDo is 200 characters.

Upgrade

To upgrade from the previous versions. Install the new macro as before. When the macro is first run a Set Preferences screen will be given to allow options to be selected.
(these can be changed later from the menu options)
Note: the previous todo**.cfg file can be deleted together with the directory macro\mco\todo on the M drive.
